Club Development Officers

Sticky noteMeet the Esperance-based Club Development Officer. This position is funded and supported by the Department of Sport and Recreation, Shire of Esperance, Shire of Ravensthorpe and the Esperance District Recreation Association.

"My name is Shane Tobin and I’m your Club Development Officer! My role is to support the 125 clubs in the Esperance-Ravensthorpe Region. I would like to think that with some planning and increased communication we can work together to help develop all clubs. I can help identify your club's needs and give you continued support with funding, workshops and any other programs on offer."

The Club Development Officer's responsibilities are to:

  • Initiate contact with EDRA, Clubs, Sporting Associations and Shires of Esperance and Ravensthorpe to develop and implement plans to deliver development programs
  • Work to support clubs with funding, workshops and programs on offer;
  • Update and maintain a club database;
  • Create an Annual Sporting Calendar;
  • Help identify club needs and provide continued support;
