Club and volunteering challenge

The biggest challenge I find in volunteering is encouraging others to have the confidence in themselves to jump in and just be confident to give what they can, in terms of their time and skills. I suspect more people would like to contribute, but worry about managing how much they can give. This goes to the heart of volunteering, which remains clubs getting back to the basics of what they actually want to achieve, and learn to politely say ‘no’ to opportunities that are not within that framework, to stick to what they can confidently manage and stop apologising for not being in a position to do more.
