Club Development Officers
Club Development Officers are located across Western Australia, and are dedicated to assisting sporting and recreation clubs and organisations to develop and thrive in the local community. With the support of the Department of Sport and Recreation the State Wide Club Development Scheme is an initiative that aims to build the capacity of these clubs in WA. Club Development Officers work with local clubs and organisation to provide information and guidance on sponsorship, fundraising, grants, event management, planning, marketing and promotions, membership and volunteer training.
Club Development Officer Scheme Review 2012
The department recently completed a review of the Club Development Officer (CDO) Scheme. The review found that the CDO Scheme has achieved significant success in providing support to sport and recreation clubs at community level.
The State government values the partnership created with local governments through this scheme and most recently with the Sport 4 All projects.
